Valentine’s Day is a favorite youth date. Polotsk State University didn’t stay away from the celebration. Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Students’ Trade Union, Student Creativity Department and Cultural and Leisure Activities Sector created an atmosphere of love and fun for two days before Valentine’s Day.
Belarusian Republican Youth Union organized an action “For beloved Belarus”. Participants of the action should mark their favorite city on the map of Belarus by heart-sticker, who pretty Cupid kindly offered to everyone.
Students’ Trade Union held fun contests and quizzes in which it was necessary to answer questions relating to the history of the holiday. For participating in it students received a gift balloons heart-shaped bright red color, which symbolizes strong love.
Department of Student Creativity organized a disco. The program included energetic dancing, lyrical songs, and fun contests. MC Nikita Dobrovolsky put together lonely hearts.
In Polotsk on the eve of Valentine’s Day Express Registry Office earned. Loving couples could just a few minutes get a certificate, make a “wedding” photo on the memory and take part in drawing of a romantic dinner for two. 15 pairs were “registered” that day.
Mikhail Krivoruchenko and Tatiana Lesovaya won dinner for two and immediately after visiting the Express Registry Office they went to the VIP-hall of dining room, where the appropriate surroundings were set up and delicious meals were prepared for them.
