In 2019, our university and Tashkent Institute of Finance signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint faculty on the basis of Tashkent Institute of Finance and the launch of a unique joint educational programme 3+1.
According to this programme school graduates from the Republic of Uzbekistan enter the joint faculty of TIF-PSU in Tashkent. They study in Tashkent for two years. Then they come to the Republic of Belarus and spend the third year of education at Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk at the Faculty of Finance and Economics, and finish the fourth year in Tashkent. The programme is unique because students study in Belarus for a whole year. Also during their studies at Tashkent Institute of Finance, experienced and competent lecturers of our university come to them and hold classes.
Thanks to the joint programme, the Republic of Uzbekistan has received highly qualified financiers and accountants with a unique set of competencies: high-quality professional knowledge, good command of the Russian language, and knowledge of the legislation of both countries. Also, over the years of studying in two countries, students have acquired a wide range of flexible skills: the ability to work in a team and present their results in public, time management and rich experience in cross-cultural communication.

The year in Belarus will remain in the memory of our graduates as a bright, interesting and memorable life stage. Students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the history and culture of our country, enjoy its nature, communicate with their peers from different countries, and to get knowledge from leading lecturers of our university.
When working with students of the joint faculty, lecturers of our university applied advanced methods and technologies in education, such as managed independent work, project method, solving practical problems, field classes in the real sector, and much more.
Graduates will be able to continue their studies and improve their practical skills by entering a master's degree programme open at a joint faculty, after which the masters will also receive two diplomas.
This project was not easy to implement, but a team of professionals from the Department of Accounting and Finance, Logistics and Management of the Faculty of Finance and Economics, led by the curator of the programme Elena Maley successfully coped with this task. Today 103 graduates are proudly entering a new stage of life.

Shokhzhakhon Zhurakhonov, a graduate of the joint faculty, shared his impressions: ‘The joint faculty of TIF-PSU is an incredible separate world. I am eternally grateful that everything turned out this way. And now I don't want it to end at all! Everything is great here, I really like the teaching staff, teaching methods, and my friends! During this period, we became one family. A year of study in Belarus is a special and important period in my life. It was here that I met many students, with whom I became friends. Thank you to everyone who tried and created this incredible world, namely Tursunbay Baimuradov, Elena Maley and all our favorite teachers. I especially want to thank Nadezhda Boreyko. She is so kind, she explains the material beautifully and clearly, and always helps us. She is just an angel to me, I respect her very much and I am very grateful to her.
At Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk, I learned a lot not only from a professional point of view, but also from the point of view of life experience. As Elena Maley said, when I arrived in Belarus, my life was divided into ‘before’ and ‘after’. I cannot express the support of our faculty members in words at all. Thank you so much for your hard work! I would like to wish more such joint faculties, master's and postgraduate programmes to be opened. Thank you so much for the knowledge you have given us and for this wonderful period of my life. I am very glad that I studied here! As they say in the book The Little Prince: ‘It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye’. It is necessary to feel all this, because it is impossible to express your delight in words!’
The work of the joint programme continues. In September, we will open the doors for new students and undergraduates of the joint faculty of Euphrosyne Polotskaya State University of Polotsk and the Tashkent Institute of Finance.
