Polotsk State University participates in a consortium that carries out a large-scale European STIMEY project «Science, Technologies, Innovations, Mathematics, Engineering for the Young» within the framework of the international program Horizon 2020, funded by the European Union. The main mission of the project is to increase the youth’s interest in exact sciences: mathematics, chemistry and physics. University teachers took part in the 1st international conference on education technologies «Innovation Aspects in Learning and Instructions» that took place at the University of Macedonia (Greece) on September, 23-24, 2017.
The presented reports, considering a creative approach to studying exact sciences and computer games, entrepreneurial tools, promoted the productive discussion.
On September 25-29, the meeting of the consortium participants was held for summarizing half-year project results within the framework of the STIMEY project. Partners discussed some issues about more intense cooperation aimed at designing a special educational Internet platform, e-portfolios and games to raise youth’s interest and motivation in exact sciences.
The working plan of the university group was developed. The major priorities for assigned tasks were distinguished.
